The European Commission has awarded Altair the final evaluation of the African Union Capacity in Election Observation. The main objectives of this evaluation are to provide the relevant services of the European Union and the interested stakeholders with:

An overall independent assessment of the past performance of the African Union election observer initiatives, paying particular attention to its results measured against its expected objectives; and the reasons underpinning such results;

Key lessons learned, conclusions and related recommendations in order to improve current and future Actions.

How the action has coordinated with the Technical Assistance work and whether the TA role was beneficial for the action.

How this action contributes to a credible long-term election observation in AU aligned to international standards and making an increased contribution to credible elections in Africa.

How this action coordinated with similar actions in support to SADC and ECOWAS.
